10.01.18 – Guaranteed to Succeed

A small game to play today

I’ve got a little game for you to play today. I call it Guaranteed to Succeed.
All you have to do is quietly set small targets for yourself that you will definitely, 100%, be able to quickly achieve. This sounds very simple and it is, but here are a few guidelines to follow to get maximum benefit from playing.
1. Be very specific about the target, the more specific the better. For example when you’re standing at the bottom of the stairs, it is good to say, “I am going to reach the top of the stairs” it is even better to say “I am going to reach the top of the stairs feeling the sensation of each step under my foot”
2. Make sure the target is achievable within a short time frame. “I’m going to stand still outside for 3 minutes now” is better than “I’m going to stand still outside for three minutes every day this week”. It’s completely great to have longer term targets in life, but Guaranteed to Succeed is about achieving things right here right now.

3. Do this quietly so nobody around you would ever know. This is almost always a one player game. However, two experienced players could team up for some doubles. If you try more than that, let me know.

4. Congratulate yourself when you succeed and achieve your target. In this game, playing is essential, winning is inevitable and self congratulations is the gold. Getting used to feeling good about succeeding in the very small things is a pathway to feeling good about succeeding in the bigger things.

Today you can define success any way you want. You can change your definition of success as often as you want. You can succeed as often as you want.
See it, do it, achieve it, feel it.
